Twin Tribes, Darker skies tour 2025
Twin Tribes embarked on an extensive tour across the United States, featuring two distinct legs and a variety of bands. The Van Buren in Phoenix, AZ, welcomed Twin Tribes, Traitrs, Forever Grey, and Soft Vein. For the goth community in Phoenix, these bands make our little black hearts swell with joy. Each group on this tour holds a cherished spot in our cold, black hearts.
Soft Vein kicked off the evening. With a sound leaning more towards electronic and EBM, they set the perfect atmosphere for the night, encouraging everyone to leave their worries behind and dance freely. Who cares about the world outside this venue? Just let go and enjoy. Justin Chamberlain’s voice is gentle, evoking a yearning for that dark, romantic connection.
Next up was Forever Grey, a band that never fails to impress live. What you hear on their recordings is what you experience in person, and honestly, it often surpasses the studio versions. Their music beautifully illustrates the allure of death, with Anna and Sam’s vocals intertwining like Morticia and Gomez Addams. I highly recommend giving them a listen if you haven’t yet! They are a vital addition to your music collection.

Traitrs is a band that will guide you on a mesmerizing dark journey. Once that first beat drops, you can’t resist dancing the night away. Shawn’s vocals strike deep in your chest, taking you on an emotional ride that leaves you fulfilled by the end. Looking out into the crowd, all you could see were people with their eyes closed, swaying to the music, allowing it to wash over them.

The moment had finally arrived for Twin Tribes, a band that has toiled relentlessly in the shadows to carve their place at the forefront of the dark music scene. Their live performances are a visceral showcase of raw musicianship, and with unwavering dedication, they continue to ascend, packing venues that grow larger with each tour. The crowd was entranced, swaying and losing themselves to the night’s haunting rhythms. Twin Tribes cut deep, leaving nothing unexpressed on that dimly lit stage. It was a night steeped in dark mystique, made all the more captivating by an incredible lineup. The only regret that loomed was the fleeting nature of their set; no one in the venue wanted the night to slip away, and rightfully so.
