Grave Digger, a heavy metal night

Nov 7th at the Teatrito Argentina

On a rainy Friday evening, arriving at the venue, we could see in the distance what awaited us at this great show: a huge crowd of fans, all decked out in the gear of a true heavy metal fan. The only thing missing was the motorcycles!

Starting with the local melodic death metal band, ACIDA formed post-pandemic in 2021, is made up of beautiful women who know how to play great metal! It’s a pleasure to see these girls play live.

Continuing with CHEWELCHE, a heavy metal band from Argentine Patagonia. The last band of the legendary Ricardo Iorio, with whom he toured extensively on his final national tour, “Unas Estrofas Más” (A Few More Verses) in 2023. It’s incredible how good these guys sound; with only three members, they rocked the venue!

By the way, the band’s new album will be released on Monday, November 10th, and will be available at icarusmusicstore.com

And finally, before welcoming the wonderful legends of Grave Digger, came Lughnasadh La Force, a national Epic Power Metal band, formed in 2009, with a super original stage presence, and incredibly powerful voices.

Grave Digger took the stage, starting with “Twilight of the Gods.” There is a great atmosphere in the room, and it shows how solid and loyal the Grave Digger fanbase is.

The impeccable voice, without wear and tear in all these years of the great Chris Boltendahl, leaves us speechless, with a very nice, constant interaction with the audience; the show maintained a constant dynamism.

With Kingdom Of Skulls and Under My Flag, unleashing a mosh pit in the center of the venue.

The audience erupted during “The Round Table (Forever),” followed by the classic “Rebellion (The Clans Are Marching).”

The band briefly left the stage before returning for an encore packed with anthems that electrified the fans, including “Circle of Witches,” “Witch Hunter,” and “Heavy Metal Breakdown.” When the latter song ended, the audience chanted for one more song, extending the performance to a spectacular finale.

It only remains to say that time hasn’t diminished the power of this great band, who continue to give their all, just like in their heyday!
