The Mission and Christian Death in Argentina
Last Thursday, October 17th two power of rock joined together on a tour of Latin America, from USA the Gothic Rock and Death rock from Los Angeles, formed in 1979, “Christian Death” and from UK the gothic rock band formed in 1986, “The Mission” They conquered the Argentine public in Groove!
Opening the evening the local gothic metal band Inazulina, With a great stage display, always dazzling us with their outfits, we are amazed every time we see this band live, the powerful voice of its leader, singer, composer, and guitarist Carolina Anílorac Bakos.
It’s time for Christian Death, Valor Kand, Maitri, and Jason Frantz (the members with the longest time in the band) to take the stage.
The first part of the show was a presentation of the most recent works with the current line-up of the band, and the second, was a representation of the older ones.
It a show that lasted a little less than an hour and a half, with a complete setlist, including songs such as “New Messiah”, “Forgiven”, “Beautiful”, “Blood Moon”, “Romeo’s Distress”, “Face”, “Church of No Return” and “This is Heresy”, among others.
Christian Death leaves the stage leaving the audience very satisfied and waiting for The Mission.
Wayne Hussey takes the stage with his legendary band to give it his all, on a night that fans will never forget.
From the first chords of “Wasteland”, the audience exploded, something very nice to see was during the song the fans threw little pieces of paper as they usually do in Europe with this song. The set was full of energy, alternating between more punk-tinged songs, emotional ballads, and lots of interaction with the audience.
The presentation was a trip to the past, an invitation to remember those nostalgic times when they led gothic music.
With a complete setlist including songs like “Butterfly On A Wheel”, “Deliverance”, “Stay With Me”, “Evangeline”, “Severina” and “Tower of Strength”.
With 18 songs in almost two hours, The Mission showed that the years have not passed for them, and their sound has remained intact since the 80s.
