A Night of Pure Punk Energy: Supla, The Casualties Set Buenos Aires on Fire

On Tuesday, May 17th, Buenos Aires became the punk capital of South America for one unforgettable night featuring Quebraditos, Supla, and The Casualties. The venue vibrated with a riotous mix of rebellion, sweat, beer, and heart — three bands, each with their own identity, delivering performances that will be remembered for a long time.

Quebraditos: Grit, Heart, and Local Pride

The night kicked off with Quebraditos, local punk heroes who came on stage determined to give everything they had — and more. Despite the vocalist being clearly under the weather, his performance was raw and full of emotion. The band fed off the energy of the crowd, who sang and moshed with fierce devotion. Before leaving the stage, they dropped a special announcement: a headline show at El Teatrito to celebrate their anniversary. It was a perfect way to close a heartfelt and powerful set that proved punk is not about perfection but about passion.

Supla: Punk Rock with Style, Spirit, and Soul

Next up was Brazilian icon Supla, and from the moment he stepped on stage, he owned the room. With his signature charisma and relentless energy, Supla wasn’t just performing — he was connecting. He pointed to people in the crowd, jumped into the pit to start circle pits himself, and even sang directly to a fan in a wheelchair, creating one of the most touching moments of the night.

Mid-show, Supla unfurled a custom-made flag representing multiple Latin American countries, a symbol of unity that drew cheers from every corner of the venue. At the end of the set, he threw T-shirts into the crowd and personally greeted fans one by one before leaving. With hits like “Fuck Politics,” “Illegal,” “Garota,” and “Charade,” Supla proved he’s not just a musician — he’s a living, breathing punk ambassador. A true Frogman.

The Casualties: Classic Mayhem and Modern Rage

Closing the night was the only The Casualties, and while their set might have felt short to some, it was explosive from start to finish. They came out swinging with tracks like “Under Attack,” “1312,” and “Chaos Sound,” igniting the pit from the very first note.

Frontman David Rodriguez was pure chaos and charm — at one point, he grabbed a fan’s sunglasses, put them on, and kept singing, drawing huge cheers. He spat beer into the air, poured drinks over the front row, and even jumped over one of his bandmates mid-song, a wild move he’s made a tradition over the years. The stage became a playground of punk mayhem as fans started jumping up — first, a girl dove into the crowd, and then dozens more joined her.

A standout moment came when a fan climbed on stage holding a Palestinian flag, and the entire venue roared in unison, chanting “Free Palestine!” The message was loud, raw, and powerful — true to the spirit of the genre.

Before closing the night, the band took a heartfelt pause to celebrate the drummer’s birthday, projecting a surprise video message from his wife and their pet, followed by a birthday cake onstage—pure punk love. And of course, David kept the chaos alive — tossing back beers, and when fans handed him cans, he’d just launch them back into the crowd.

One for the Books

This wasn’t just a concert — it was a punk gathering, a community reaffirming its values of resistance, love, and unfiltered expression. Quebraditos gave it their all, Supla brought fire and empathy, and The Casualties showed why they remain icons of the scene. From circle pits to birthday cakes, from flags of unity to beer showers, this was a night that proved punk is alive and more necessary than ever.
