A Power Metal night with HAMMERFALL
On a beautiful, almost summer evening, on the way to the venue where one of the most recognized and beloved Swedish heavy power metal bands in the world would play.
Opening the evening were the guys from Lordowar, a power metal band founded in Catamarca in 2010, who closed their show with a very well-executed cover of “Manowar (Hail and Kill).”
Continuing with Virthual, a local heavy metal band with a heavy, modern, and melodic sound, the band showed why they were chosen to open this great show!
When Hammerfall took to the stage, this energy consumed you. Starting tonight’s set was ‘Avenge The Fallen’ from their 2024 album of the same name. Fans of all ages, grandparents, parents, and grandchildren were there to live a night they would never forget.
Frontman Joacim Cans, with his powerful voice, charisma, and constant interaction with the audience, made the metal night a lot of fun.
Guitarist and founding member Oscar Dronjak is all over the stage tonight, holding his signature Sandberg hammer model guitar vertically. The lead guitarist, Pontus Norgen, is technically proficient. Seeing guitarists Oscar Dronjak and Pontus Norgren live is a transcendent experience for any heavy metal enthusiast. Drummer David Wallin is the heartbeat of HammerFall.
The energy was contagious, with fans singing along to every anthem.
With a very complete setlist, the band leaves for a few minutes to return with a very explosive encore, with “Hail to the King” from Avenge the Fallen empowering through the stomping hard rock passages of their newer material. To finish off their victorious night of traditional heavy metal, delivered with utmost precision, “Hearts on Fire” from the 2002 classic album Crimson Thunder had the enthusiastic audience singing along with every word, and captivated by the melodic heavy metal that only a band like HammerFall could provide.
The Swedes with their characteristic charisma and energy. Deep, clean sounds make one of the bands you can’t miss live. A beautiful interaction with the audience, the excited crowd never stopped singing along to every song. With the venue packed with fans, the night became truly unique!
