Alain Johannes Trio, January 8th at the Sala Metronomo Santiago de Chile
It was a hot night in Santiago, but this did not stop us from listening to an acoustic version of one of the greats of music; I am referring to Alain Johannes, who, accompanied by the talented brothers Cote and Felo Foncea, formed a group under the name of Alain Johannes Trio, which they formed 9 years ago and which every time they perform they give us a delight of melodies that blow anyone’s mind.
On this occasion, Alain Johannes Trio made themselves heard with powerful songs from his remembered band Eleven, who, together with all the magic that only Alain knows how to do, and the surprise guests of Peter Buck, guitarist of REM, and Barret Martin, whose main bands include Screamin Trees and Mad Season, performed songs by Queens of the Stone Age, REM and Chris Cornell, undoubtedly a distinction for good music and an unforgettable experience for all the fans present.
Setlist:
Unfinished Plan, Not On This Earth, Eyes To The Sky, Return to You, Gentle Ghosts, If Morning Comes, Make God Jelaous, Kaleidoscope, Seasick of You (Eleven cover), Beautiful Self (Eleven cover), Let It Gnaw, Ava Tar (Eleven cover), This Little Finger (Eleven cover), Crash Today (Eleven cover), You’re My Diamond (Eleven cover), Nature Wants To Kill Me (Eleven cover), The Bleeding Whole, Reach Out(Eleven cover), Why (Eleven cover), Hanging Tree(Desert Sessions cover) (Peter Buck on guitar and Barrett Martin on drums), One I Love (R.E.M. cover) (Peter Buck on guitar and Barrett Martin on drums), Making a Cross (Desert Sessions cover) (Peter Buck on guitar and Barrett Martin on drums)
