Azeroth at the Roxy Live

Last Saturday, Nov 23 The Roxy Live hosted an incredible night with Azeroth and Special Guests from the Brazilian band Armored Dawn and Cernunnos.

Opening the evening was the local folk metal band Cernunnos, formed in 2012. They performed original compositions using traditional instruments such as flutes or tin whistles, violin, and the sounds of the bouzouki or mandolin. This incredibly complete band has a wonderful staging in a medieval style, where each member stands out, and the incomparable voice of Pablo Schivo.

Continuing with the Brazilian band Armored Dawn, formed in 2011. Starting with “Animal Uncaged” (from their album “Viking Zombie”, 2019) What a great live band these guys are, with the friendliness of Timo Kaarkoski, the Argentine soccer shirt, the eccentric expressions of the great Heros Trench, and the beautiful voice of Eduardo Parras. Closing the big show with “Beware of the Dragon” (from their album “Barbarians in Black”, 2018).
It’s always a pleasure to see Brazilians play live, by the way, there are many more dates coming up in the coming months.

SETLIST:
Animal Uncaged, Tides, Brand New Way, Ragnarock, Gods of Metal, Men of Odin, Chance to Live Again, Beware of the Dragon

And now the long-awaited moment of the night, Azeroth took the stage to give us all!! The Argentine band was founded almost 30 years ago, in 1995, opening with “Condena eternal” (from their album “Senderos del Destino” 2022), the audience exploded at that very moment, Continuing with “Among the Ashes” and “Randall Flagg”, the crowd’s fervor grew minute by minute.

I have had the opportunity to see this wonderful band on more than one occasion, and what always surprises me is how good they sound live, and the powerful vocal range of Ignacio Rodríguez, which leaves us breathless.
Ignacio, with the friendliness that characterizes him, constantly thanks his fans for being present and tells us that they will soon be touring Brazil.

Closing the night with the “Campaña al desierto” song from their first self-titled album “Azeroth” released in 2000.

SETLIST:
Condena eterna, Entre las cenizas, Randall Flagg, La verdad, Al final te alcanzaré, La promesa, Más allá del caos, Antigua senda, La salida, Urd, Historias de hoy, Senderos del destino, Campaña al desierto
What a wonderful night we had, full of rock!
