Comeback Kid lit up Argentina with a massive hardcore celebration for the 20th anniversary of Wake the Dead.

Comeback Kid‘s return to Argentina was more than just an anniversary tour — it was a raw, emotional, and high-energy celebration of hardcore punk, marked by the unbreakable bond between the band and their Argentine fans.

The night kicked off with Los Verdaderos, staples of the local hardcore scene, who delivered a powerful set. During their final song, the frontman asked the crowd to move closer to the stage, trying to ignite that signature hardcore connection. When the energy didn’t quite rise to the occasion, the band decided to close out their setlist and end their show, underscoring that hardcore is about shared energy and real connection.

Then came Comeback Kid, and from the moment they hit the stage, the atmosphere exploded. The band dove straight into a full performance of Wake the Dead, a record that helped define a generation of hardcore fans, and sprinkled in some newer tracks from their latest album, all met with the same unrelenting enthusiasm.

The connection with the crowd was electric. Small but meaningful moments — like fans handing over Argentine flags that ended up wrapped around the bassist’s gear, or the guitarist proudly wearing a fan’s beanie — turned the show into something bigger than a concert. It was a celebration of community.

To close out the night, Comeback Kid invited everyone who could fit to storm the stage, igniting chaos in the best way possible. Among those who joined was Luli, vocalist of Argentine hardcore band Punición, who joined the final screams in a moment that summed up the entire night: unity, passion, and hardcore as a way of life.

Comeback Kid didn’t just honor an album — they honored a history with Argentina. Their deep connection to the local scene was evident at every turn, and with promises to return soon, fans are already counting the days.
