Enslaved Rocked Buenos Aires

Nov 13th at the Uniclub

A long time ago, Black metal was something seen with a quite fearsome vision of painted people and crosses everywhere, much more so coming from the other side of the world such a geographical point as Norway but the band ENSLAVED shows the opposite, obviously, it has its darkness in each song but you can see a lot of technique in the solos of each member.

Below the stage, you could see a lot of big beards, vests, and a lot of beer. The beginning of the show was as it should be, well set to the very dark Black metal bands, all the members began to enter but among them the presence of the guitarist Arve stood out, who came out without a shirt and all tattooed, raising his guitar and showing himself to the audience.

The first chords of Kindom began, one of the band’s last songs released in 2023, between songs there was a short break to have a drink of beer, it is a band with a fairly long history but the setlist is quite short Since most of the songs, being more rhythmic and with many techniques, last quite a while, here in Argentina they had a setlist of 9 songs, in festivals they play 7 so here in Argentina we had two more songs.

In all the songs you could hear Iver (drummer) helping Grutler (lead vocals and bassist) and Ivar (guitar) also did backing vocals, you could see Grutler asking people to sing and chant the lyrics, when they sang “Havenless” you could see Grutler, Ivar and Hakon making a “Y” with their arms and singing the first verses.

In “Heimdal” Grutler leaves his bass to be able to play vocals with a tuner which made the lyrics darker, here they left the stage and then returned. The first to do was Iver told the audience that they would sing that chorus that they liked so much, which was “olé olé olé Enslaved Enslaved.” Here you could see Iver’s solo and soon all the members appeared, to which they were introduced one by one by Grutler at the moment that Iver introduced him, he named him Hector Piazzolla and everything was laughter among the public, which arrived at the moment expected by all of Uniclub, which began to play “Isa” has great strength in both the main vocals and the chorus.

Everything would end with “Allfadr Odinn” leaving everyone satisfied in the dark streets of the supply.
