JAMES AND THE COLD GUN Live in London
The Lower Third [25th September 2025]
After catching James And The Cold Gun open for Duff McKagan at Islington Assembly Hall last October, we knew they had something special. That night, the Cardiff rockers made a lasting impression with their raw energy, magnetic stage presence, and unapologetically loud sound. Fast-forward to their sold-out headline show at The Lower Third in London, and it’s clear we weren’t the only ones paying attention.
Fresh off their slots at Reading and Leeds, the band took to the stage with a vengeance, delivering a blistering 11-track set that reaffirmed their place as one of the UK’s most exciting new rock acts. From the opening roar of Riding The Tiger to the closing chaos of Chewing Glass, the performance was a relentless, no-frills celebration of pure rock’n’roll.
Tracks from their latest album Face In The Mirror hit especially hard live—its title track and Meet My Maker proving standout moments that had the crowd howling. The band’s chemistry was electric throughout, with every riff, scream, and sweat-drenched chorus landing like a punch to the chest.
Despite a strict curfew cutting things slightly short, James And The Cold Gun left the crowd buzzing and baying for more. If tonight was anything to go by, their next headline tour will be playing to even bigger crowds—and we’ll be right there in the front row.
