In the year 2000, I sported spiked blonde hair, wore jinco jeans, and a Korn shirt as I made my way to the Palladium in Hollywood, CA, to catch Slipknot live. On the lineup was a band I had heard of called Mudvayne. When they took the stage, I was utterly blown away by their music and visual style. I was instantly captivated. L.D. 50 is an album that has remained with me ever since.

From start to finish, it was nearly flawless. When Mudvayne announced the L.D. 50 anniversary tour, every nu metal enthusiast was ecstatic to experience this album live once more.

This excitement was heightened by Static X performing most of their debut album, ‘Wisconsin Death Trip,’ and newcomer Vended opening the show. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Greg Tribbett.

Mudvayne once again delivered an electrifying performance at Arizona Financial Theater in Phoenix AZ. It reminiscent of my first experience with them back in 2000. This tour held immense significance for countless fans, both old and new. The live show felt more stripped down compared to previous tours, which I believe we can all appreciate, as it focused on the essence of L.D. 50 and allowed us to hear it in its most authentic form. While they played most of the album, we were treated to an extended encore featuring some of their other major hits like ‘World So Cold,’ ‘Happy,’ and ‘Dull Boy.’.
