Psychonaut 4, 120 minutes of harrowing duel.

On February 12th, Uniclub became the epicenter of an intense and harrowing sonic experience with the first visit to Argentina by the Georgian quintet, Psychonaut 4. This group, founded in Tbilisi in 2010, arrived as part of their “Mourning Over Latin American Tour,” which kicked off on February 5th in Mexico and included eight stops across the continent, with Buenos Aires being the penultimate stop, supported and organized by Noiseground.

For this date, the local representation was handled by the black metal band Psicosfera, who unleashed their mature sound, combining the best of their three albums, with “Summa Negativa” being the most recent.

Psicosfera

A solid performance by the local act served as an appetizer for the sonic feast to come. With a precise and devastating performance accompanied by a stage show steeped in dark allegories, Psicosfera captivated the audience with their avant-garde approach, serving as a showcase for local talent and solidifying a musical lineup perfectly suited to fans of the genre.

As 9 pm approached, the first chords of “Meho, Come Up” rang out, beginning a musical odyssey through mourning, depression, and suffering. A journey through 14 songs showcased the Georgians’ high level of technical skill in each piece, along with a complete connection with an Argentine audience that welcomed them with open arms. Throughout the show, lead guitarist Grifter displayed excellent rapport and interaction with the crowd, making it clear that while this was their first visit, it wouldn’t be the last time the post-Soviet quintet visits Buenos Aires. After a brief encore, Psychonaut 4 returned to perform a closing set, which featured two of their best-known songs, first in “Too Late to Call an Ambulance” and finally, the night came to an end with the audience and band fused in a collective catharsis, chanting “Sweet Decadence”.
