Punk rocked Buenos Aires nights with Neck Deep

After about 7 years, Neck Deep returned to Argentina, this time moving from an Uniclub to an almost fully packed Groove.

The doors opened shortly after 7 p.m., and everything seemed to be running smoothly. At exactly 8:30 p.m. sharp, the lights went out, the screen lit up with the band’s name in the background, and they all came out together. Without further ado, they kicked things off with “Dumbstruck Dumbf**k.” Mosh pits quickly broke out in the venue, with the crowd jumping nonstop. From above, you could see how much people were enjoying every note. Matt stood out with his wild energy, fueling the crowd’s excitement.

Sam and Lloyd kept switching places on stage, making eye contact with the audience to gauge their reaction and see if they were singing along.

As for Ben, what can be said? He gave it his all, not missing a single note, full of energy and visibly joyful — dancing, pulling faces at the crowd, and even putting on an Argentina national team jersey thrown to him from the audience. Whenever he had a chance to speak — since the setlist barely allowed a breather, going song after song — he thanked the fans, saying Argentina was wonderful and that he was grateful for all the love.

When they played “A Part of Me,” Ben asked the crowd if they wanted one more song or if the band should leave. The audience went wild, screaming for more and more. After the last chord, they walked offstage, only to return three minutes later with even more force, closing the night with “December” and “In Bloom.”

It’s worth noting the venue’s security: as everyone was leaving, they checked people and even made them unlock their phones, since many reported thefts of personal belongings.
