The Magic Numbers cast a spell on Buenos Aires’ night.
The last Thursday Nov 14th at the Teatro Vorterix, the English Indie rock band The Magic Numbers is made up of brother and sister Romeo Stodart (vocals and guitar) and Michele Stodart (bass), as well as Sean Gannon (drums) and Angela Gannon (keyboards), with more than 20 years of experience, are visiting Argentina for their “seventh show” in the country, a band that already feels like part of the family.
Opened the evening the local band “Mugre”, a punk rock band, is a power trio formed by Mariana Michi on bass and vocals, Jazmín Esquivel on guitar and vocals, and Sofía Naara Malagrino on drums and vocals.
With immaculate sounds and great staging, the girls gave it their all, leaving us ready for what the night had to offer.
At 9.30 pm with British punctuality The Magic Numbers took the stage, with a resounding sold out, starting with their hit single “Forever Lost”, continuing non-stop with “Ride Against the Wind” and the famous song “Love’s a Game”.
With a contagious energy, impeccable sounds, and voices from another dimension, the band keeps the audience captivated throughout the concert.
Romeo constantly interacts with fans, always with that smile that shows how happy he is to return to our country.
With a setlist that went through their 6 albums, it was time for a little break, they returned to the stage with “Hymn for Her”, but that was not all, they had a surprise that would make the Vorterix vibrate, playing the song “Canción para mi Muerte” from “Sui Generis” in which they made fans go up on stage to sing it with them, a very nice moment of the evening.
Closing with “Mornings Eleven” the band showed in each visit to the country, how wonderful they sound, and their love for Argentina.
We are waiting for a soon return.
