Tiamat in Argentina: Darkness Reclaimed

On December 12, Tiamat returned to Argentina under circumstances far from the original plan, yet the night ultimately benefited from its transformation. The show was initially scheduled at Groove alongside The Black Dahlia Murder and Gatecreeper. Still, after both bands withdrew — with Gatecreeper planning a future headline show — Tiamat remained the sole international act.

The concert was relocated to Uniclub, a smaller venue that proved ideal for the band’s introspective and melancholic sound. The more intimate setting allowed Tiamat to fully immerse the audience in their dark, atmospheric universe.

Local legends Avernal opened the night with a solid performance, presenting new material while revisiting key moments from their catalog. Tiamat’s setlist spanned multiple eras, blending gothic metal, doom, and ethereal passages, with classics like “In a Dream,” “Cain,” “Wildhoney,” and “Cold Seed” standing out.

Despite the setbacks surrounding the event, Tiamat delivered a powerful and immersive performance, turning uncertainty into a memorable and deeply atmospheric night.
