UDO DIRKSCHNEIDER, A Legend in Argentina

Last Wednesday, Nov 13th the Teatro Flores hosted an unforgettable night.
The legendary UDO DIRKSCHNEIDER came to Argentina to commemorate the 40th anniversary of “Balls to the Wall”, the iconic album by his former band ACCEPT.

Opening the evening is the local hardcore band HUESO, formed in 2016, I have seen them on several occasions and it is always a pleasure to see them, they have a great performance.

The big moment of the night arrived, The former Accept vocalist, accompanied by his musicians, took the stage, starting the night with the well-known song “Fast as a Shark”, continuing with “Midnight Mover”, with a charismatic and adorable UDO on stage, the audience went crazy singing along to each song. Jumps, moshpits, and unstoppable energy took over the venue.

The wonderful sound of drums from the hand of UDO‘s son “Sven”, the guitar duo with Dee Dammers and the Russian Andrey Smirnov, and the great Peter Baltes on bass, And of course the unwavering voice of the incomparable UDO, made the night transform into something magical.
It is then that at a certain point, the celebration of the album in question begins. Thus we go through its songs: “Balls to the Wall”, unleashing full-on madness, “London Leatherboys”, “Fight it Back”, “Head Over Heels”, “Turn Me On”, “Love Child”, “Losers and Winners” and the closing song of the album, “Winterdreams”.

After a brief break UDO with his band returns to the stage to close the night with two classics “Up to the Limit” and “Burning”.

The legendary UDO gave it his all. At over 70 years old, he looks intact both in his voice and in his performance, worthy of admiration. This was not just a show, but a great party.
