A Magic Night with SOEN
Last Wednesday, Feb 26th at the Arena Sur, we enjoyed a magic night with one of the most famous progressive rock bands SOEN.
Opening the evening 3 national bands In Element, Shafu, and Presto Vivace.
Starting with In Element, a Great band, with always compelling sounds, it’s a pleasure to see them live.

IN ELEMENT
Then it was Shafu‘s turn, is an instrumental progressive metal band founded in 2019. I didn’t know them, but I can say that I recommend them!

SHAFU
Finally, before the expected moment, Presto Vivace arrives, a band with 30 years of experience, founded by the great bassist Marcelo Pérez Schneider, we have seen them on more than one occasion, and we always love their staging and how good they sound live!

Soen took the stage, and in less than a year, the wonderful Swedish band returns to the country, with the strength and power that characterizes them! Starting with “Sincere” (from their recent Album “Memorial” 2023) the audience exploded!

Joel with the same friendliness as always, and his wonderful voice that transports us to another dimension in each song, the unmatched riffs of the adorable Cody, and of course the powerful sound on the drums of “Uruguayan” Martin, who in the middle of the concert took the microphone to speak in Spanish about how grateful he was to the Argentine public, and began to play the song by the renowned Argentine band “Hermetica” with the audience singing.
Continuing with the beautiful “Lotus” song from their album released in 2019.
It was time for a short break, leaving fans waiting for more!
And yes! It was! SOEN came back on stage asking what song was missing, of course, most of us asked for Violence, but as it was known it would be the song to close the show they continued with “Lumerian” and “Antagonist”, to effectively end the great night with their biggest hit “Violence”.

I can only say that it is one of the shows that I have enjoyed the most this 2025, Soen is a band that gives everything in each performance I could see them a thousand times, and on all occasions, I would be with the same euphoria and joy of having enjoyed their powerful show!
We hope for their soon return!!
