Caligula’s Horse warmed up the cold night in Buenos Aires.
September 5th, marching into the Teatrito on a cold almost spring evening, to cover the first concert in Argentina of the progressive rock band from Australia Caligula’s Horse.
The band was formed by Sam Vallen and Jim Grey in early 2011. The current lineup consists of lead vocalist Jim Grey, lead guitarist Sam Vallen, bassist Dale Prinsse, and drummer Josh Griffin.
Their first album, Moments from Ephemeral City (2011), and a follow-up EP, Colossus (2011), were released independently before signing with Welkin Records and releasing their second album, The Tide, the Thief & River’s End (2013). The band then signed with Inside Out Music for the release of their third album, Bloom (2015), and their fourth album In Contact (2017). The band released their fifth album, Rise Radiant, on 22 May 2020.
Opening the night 2 Local bands “Prognatus and Vulcana” with a good performance of both bands, left us so ready for the protagonists of the night!
It was finally time for Caligula’s Horse to take the stage. Opened with “The Tempest”, and the audience exploded!!
During the concert Jim (singer) interacted with fans, talking, saying how much grateful the band was for the warm welcome, and adding them to make the chorus.
With the great Sam Vallen on guitars, Dale Prinsse on bass, the powerful sounds of drums with Josh Griffin, and the adorable Jim Grey, with his perfect and sweet Vocal range.
Going through their current and old tracks, rounds out a magnific and unforgettable night!
