Paleface Swiss was formed in 2017 in the city of Zurich (Switzerland), under a musical proposal often framed by specialized critics as “Deathcore”, with a variety of melodic nuances and harmonies worked conscientiously, creating an ideal environment for the development of lyrics that go beyond simple personal introspection, which coupled with a staging full of energy, make Paleface Swiss a band to take into account when talking about the new generations of world metal, quickly managing to position itself within the music scene being an obligatory reference in the different the end of September, Paleface Swiss released the single and video for the song “HATRED” as a preview of what will be their new album “Cursed”.ent international festivals in which it has participated.

Today we have the pleasure to interview Marc “Zelli” Zellweger, vocalist and lead of Paleface.

SUNRAY: How was Paleface Swiss born?

Zelli: I guess like a lot of bands out there. i wanted to become a vocalist, was lucky enough to find some amazing friends and from there on it was a constant hustlez“

SUNRAY: Who Are Your Biggest Influences?

Zelli: For me personally, it is Slipknot!“

SUNRAY: We know that they are not very “technology fans” What’s the creative process like when you make a new song? Do you usually use technology a lot for this, and do you try to create in an old-school style?

Zelli: Even do i hate technology, we use it quite a lot. we never “jam” all together in one room, i guess it just doesn’t work for us. it’s usually just Yannick and me together in a bedroom trying to glue all the ideas together.“

SUNRAY: Talking about new music, the new single “HATRED” was recently released, why did they choose this song to start the promotion of the new album “Cursed”?

Zelli: Good question i don’t really have an answer for hahah. it honestly just felt right. we all clicked with that song immediately and we wanted to show it to everyone ASAP.“

SUNRAY: Next November you will be releasing the second single and video from the album “My Blood On Your Hands”, can you talk about it?

Zelli: It’s a short song about the thought of “maybe getting killed is easier than facing all the problems.” i love the song a lot.“

SUNRAY: In January 2025, the new album “Cursed” will be available, what can fans expect from it?

Zelli: I don’t really like “expectations” cause if there’s expectations, there’s a big chance of getting disappointed. if you dive into something without even thinking about it, you’re more likely to find yourself enjoying the positive things instead looking for the negative. So, no expectations, only new experiences!“

SUNRAY: This 2024 you have had the luxury of being part of huge rock festivals such as Summer Breeze Open Air, and Sick New World, among others, how does it feel to be part of them and share the stage with great legendary bands?

Zelli: It’s exactly what we live for. i absolutely love festivals and i love sharing stages with so many great bands. these memories will last forever. there are way too many great stories behind every festival.“

SUNRAY: What’s next for Paleface?

Zelli: EVERYTHING!

Thank you so much guys for your time! All the best
