Rhapsody of Fire, a “Power Metal” Night
Last Saturday, May 11th, the Italian band Rhapsody of Fire with their tour “Glory for the Enchanted Lands”, rocked The Teatrito, Buenos Aires Argentina.
Opening the evening the Peruvian “METAL CRUCIFIER”, I had the pleasure to see them days ago, as Accept support band, they are incredible!!!
Continuing with the Argentinian band “ARPEGHY” Seeing these guys live is a real pleasure.
“ARPEGHY”
And now, the big moment is coming!!! The lights go out, with the audience very expectant, the Italians take the stage with “The Dark Secret” (sixth studio album, released in 2004).
With the classic “Unholy Warcry” the crowd completely exploded, The setlist continued with “I’ll be your hero” and “Chains of Destiny”.
They gave us the pleasure of enjoying “Challenge the Wind “the song that gives the name to the new album, (it will be released this May 31)
with Alex Staropoli on keyboard (founding leader of the band, whom we had the pleasure of interviewing before he visited the country), with the “Italian” powerful voice of Giacomo Voli, it is incredible how well the band complements each other, they sound like you are in a medieval era movie in every song. The emotional moment of the night was when they played “The Magic of the Wizards’ Dream” remembering the famous actor Christopher Lee (who past away in 2015), a song in which he has participated.
Then came the inevitable anthem “Dawn of Victory”. It’s time for the short break, to close with four more songs, “Reign of Terror” Giacomo says to the fans we have three more songs for you.
Going through their current and old tracks, the band showed all the power the fans are used to.
