Beyond The Gates announces full lineup for 2026

Since its inception, BEYOND THE GATES has steadily grown to become a leading international event for fans of Black, Death, and Doom Metal. Using various venues throughout the city of Bergen, such as the USF Verftet in the port area and Grieghallen itself, the festival combines an intimate atmosphere with a powerful stage presence in one of Norway’s most iconic metal cities.
Beyond The Gates, created in 2013, has established itself as one of the leading extreme metal festivals in Europe, attracting thousands of fans to the city of Bergen every year.

The festival returns to Bergen, Norway from July 29 – August 1, 2026, and has now unveiled seven new artists to complete next year’s bill.

EMPEROR will return to the Grieghallen, a key venue in the history of the country’s music scene. For this special occasion, the band will reunite Ihsahn and Samoth with two former members: Håvard ‘Mortiis’ Ellefsen and drummer Bård ‘Faust’ Eithun, promising a concert of great historical significance.
