A night of Metalcore with Memphis May Fire and Blessthefall!
For fans of the great “Metalcore” genre, we knew it would be a unique night.
As part of the “Shapeshifter World Tour,” Memphis May Fire returned to Argentina with special guest Blessthefall.
We started very early with an exclusive photoshoot for Sunray, with Memphis May Fire at the venue. We had no idea how amazing the guys would be. Amid laughter, photos, and Argentinian alfajores, the shoot left us with a truly beautiful image of the band!
A little before 7 PM, the Argentinian band “Idenia” opened the evening. With instrumental solidity, heavy breakdowns, and powerful sounds, they put on a great show, with a cover of Asking Alexandria that got the crowd singing along.
Continuing with another Argentinian band, “Caso 2”, with deep guttural screams and clean melodic lines, they delivered a show worthy of a night of pure MetalCore!
Next up was Blessthefall, a band already familiar to Argentinians, who were visiting us for the fifth time. As always, their fans were eagerly anticipating their performance!
Opening with “You Wear a Crown, But You’re No King,” with unparalleled energy, the connection with the audience was beautiful, led by vocalist Beau Bokan, who constantly jumped off the stage to climb the barrier and sing with the crowd.
For almost 50 minutes, through a very complete setlist, songs like “Venom”, “Promised Ones”, “Wake the Dead,” and the nostalgic “Guys Like You Make Us Look Bad” prompted the audience to light up the venue with their cell phone lights! Closing with his classic “Hey Baby, Here’s That Song You Wanted”, of course leaving his fans wanting more. As a special guest of the Headliner, it was known that his show wouldn’t be very long, but in any case, the audience was very happy!
The headliners, the highly anticipated Memphis May Fire, took the stage, starting strong with “The Sinner,” and the crowd erupted!
It’s worth highlighting how amazing these guys sound live; Matty Mullins’ vocal range is incredible, delivering magnificent guttural vocals alongside clean vocals that truly touched the hearts.
The setlist featured major hits like “The Sinner,” “Misery,” the emotional “The Other Side” (which brought some fans to tears), and “Make Believe,” among others—complete with mosh pits, circle pits, and the crowd singing along at the top of their lungs!
A show with very few pauses and constant interaction and energy (when you’re passionate about something, time seems to fly by), and that’s exactly what happened with this great concert. Without a break, the song to close this wonderful evening arrived: “Chaotic,” the most intense moment of the night, with massive circle pits.
All that remains to be said is that we hope both bands return soon, as they gave a masterclass in true Metalcore.
