Amigo The Devil Dec 2 The Marquee Theater in Tempe in AZ

It’s finally that time of year where seasonal depression is thick in the air. It was only fitting that Amigo The Devil kicked off the month of December. Opening up the night with virtue and virtiol. An extremely vulnerable and emotional song. This brought the venue to a complete standstill with Amigos haunting yet beautiful voice echoing throughout the venue.
The whole set was nothing short of powerful, beautiful, dark, and Pure raw emotion.

Amigo The Devil isn’t one to shy away from talking about depression and that is one of the reasons why his fans can relate to his music on such a personal level. Whether you’re listening to him on records or hearing him live, you get the same strong feeling of warmth. Covering everything from death to love, serial killers, bingo halls, and being buried in another man’s grave. We can all appreciate that Amigo The Devil uses dark humor to over come those sad days and nights. It’s refreshing to hear Amigo take a different approach than most folk punk bands in that genre. Watching Amigo live is an emotional journey with ups and downs, laughs, and even crying . The fact that Amigo will go from singing about a waffle house to Allstars (smash mouth) , to a song about wanting someone’s husband to die, shows you his range. The world is a better place with Amigos music in it and I can’t wait to hear what he writes next!
