Chevelle at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom, Chicago

The Chevelle show in Chicago IL (August 15,2025) was an amazing and special night because it was the same day the band released their newly anticipated album titled “Bright As Blasphemy.” Despite being around for more than 30 years, the band still knows how to tear the house down; they came out with such high energy you could even feel the floor shaking coming from the crowd.

The opening acts set the tone for what to expect that night, especially Dead Poet Society, who came out with a statement as an upcoming band. They looked like veterans up there., and the crowd was giving the same energy as the band. They were having the time of their life, especially Dylan Brenner, the band’s bassist. I haven’t seen a bassist with that much intensity since the bassist for Fit for a King. Some of the songs I recommend listening to from Dead Poet Society are : I hope you hate me, .Swvrm and Intoodeep.

The next opener was Asking Alexandria, just like Chevelle, they’ve been around for a while. Their setlist had a little bit of everything from songs from Asking Alexandria (2017 album), From Death to Destiny, and of course stand up and scream. Their performance overall was solid, despite all the backlash Danny Worsnop receives from how he performs live, that doesn’t stop him from going out and giving the crowd a show. Overall, the concert was amazing and definitely worth seeing any of those bands live.
