French metalcore invaded Buenos Aires

On a cold Tuesday night—just as spring was beginning—the French band heated a venue packed with fans.

Kicking off the evening was the local act El Nueve Once. Founded in 2019, this alternative metal, post-hardcore, and pop-punk band stands out for its strong commitment to social causes and charitable work.

They were a powerhouse of a band, delivering a heavy, crisp sound and instrumental intensity that set the stage perfectly for the French group’s debut.

Then came the highly anticipated moment: the venue erupted from the very first chords. 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐌𝐕𝐑𝐊𝐒 opened with their massive hit “Creature” (the band’s best song, and, I’m certain, a favorite for many others), with everyone singing along at the top of their lungs. As the night went on, the crowd’s energy ramped up, and when “Sulfur” hit, the mosh pit went wild!

They seamlessly blended crushing breakdowns with majestic, melodic choruses, while also incorporating the rapcore and nu-metal elements that define their recent material. I have to highlight frontman Florent Salfati’s vocals; the guy sounds even better live than on the records absolutely incredible!

All that’s left to say is that some bands are truly worth seeing live, and this was one of them; Landmvrks sound so good in concert that you never want the show to end.
