“Pentagram”, the viral Bobby Liebling in Argentina
Last Tuesday, March 25th, PENTAGRAM returned to Argentina to give us not one, but two shows, with a surprise event that took place the following day, Wednesday the 26th, given their recent viralization on social media and sold-out performance, something they achieved after more than 50 years of experience, and which is more than commendable given that they are one of the founders of Doom Metal.
The concert began with the Argentine band WICCA333, which plays occult-themed doom metal. It was followed by MONJE, which plays a heavier, stoner style. This set the mood in a Uniclub packed with fans eager for the return of the fathers of doom.

At 9:15 p.m., PENTAGRAM took the stage, led by the legendary Bobby Liebling and his Washington, D.C.-born group, which delved into dark music in the early 1970s, invoking their song “Live Again,” from their latest album released this year, from which they would later perform many other songs such as “I Spoke to Death,” “Might Just Wanna Be Your Fool,” “Solve the Puzzle,” “Thundercrest,” and “Walk the Sociopath.”

The show exploded when they performed “Starlady,” a song from their album “Show ’em How,” followed by one of the classics from their debut album, “The Ghoul.” Other classics were performed, such as “When the Screams Come,” a prequel to one of their biggest hits, “Sign of the Wolf (Pentagram),” one of the most acclaimed songs sung by fans, and another of the band’s anthems, “Review Your Choices.”

The event concluded with two major hits, “Forever My Queen” and “20 Buck Spin,” closing out a setlist that showcased their new album, which gives the tour its name, while also playing legendary songs that left a legacy and founded a genre as popular in the world of metal as doom, one of the oldest styles in the history of heavy music. This was the end of the band, but not for long, as a surprise show was coming up the next day.
