The Town 2025 Sao Paulo Brasil

São Paulo, September 7, 2025: After a first day of impeccable shows, in which the overall audience experience reached an average of 8.9, The Town demonstrated that this year’s new features directly impacted attendees’ perceptions. The fluidity of entry, the operation of the bars, the efficiency of public transportation, and the support staff’s efforts were combined with highly rated pillars such as the physical space of Cidade da Música (8.8), security (8.9), restrooms (8.7), and general cleanliness (8.7), which directly contributed to the festival’s improved rating.
The stages also stood out, with the giant Skyline, which featured Travis Scott as headliner, achieving a 9.1 rating. The other stages maintained their 9.0 average, including this year’s big new addition, Quebrada, which debuted to great acclaim.
“Every year is a new learning experience, and we’re constantly improving the experience. The next edition is always the best. Seeing the audience recognize each new feature and improvement we implement is the greatest reward we can have. Our commitment is always to exceed expectations and offer a unique experience that goes far beyond the music. We’ve added new stages and made some changes to the Cidade da Música map so that everyone can fully enjoy every second of the festival, and the experience here is a highlight from start to finish. The Town was born to make its mark on São Paulo, and since its first edition, it has demonstrated its strength,” says Roberto Medina, president of Rock World and creator of The Town.
GFK, a leading consumer and market intelligence consultancy, is responsible for measuring people’s sentiment regarding the activations and infrastructure of both The Town and some of the sponsors present at Cidade da Música during the five days of shows.

About The Town
The first edition of The Town, a festival from the creators of Rock in Rio, took place in September 2023 and became a landmark and official event calendar for São Paulo! In 2025, on September 6th, 7th, 12th, 13th, and 14th, the spectacle promises to be even bigger. Considered São Paulo’s largest music, culture, and art festival, The Town takes place at Cidade da Música, in a 360,000 m² area of the Interlagos Racetrack, completely renovated for the best audience experience.
The first edition attracted half a million people over five days, with 220 activations, 125 shows, nine venues, six stages, a musical, 235 hours of experience, and an unbelievable similarity to the first Rock in Rio, back in 1985. National and international music acts performed on the festival’s stages, including Post Malone, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, and Foo Fighters. This year, Travis Scott, Green Day, Backstreet Boys, Mariah Carey, and Katy Perry are Skyline’s headliners.
The City of Music’s scenography was carefully designed to reflect São Paulo’s rich culture and architecture. The Skyline stage, inspired by the city’s iconic buildings, welcomes artists from around the world, making up the day’s four attractions. The One, with a setting inspired by the capital’s art museums, will promote large-scale artistic encounters and reflections. São Paulo Square was inspired by the region where São Paulo was founded, featuring historic buildings with iconic São Paulo architecture, while the Factory brings an industrial touch, inspired by old warehouses, providing a unique environment for performances. On the Quebrada stage, a completely new space at the festival, the audience will celebrate the authenticity of Brazil’s peripheries. Also new this year is The Tower Experience, which will take the audience on a journey through the history of the dragon Drahan, accompanied by music and special effects.
The Town also stood out in 2023 for its commitment to sustainability, guided by the Dreaming and Making It Happen pillars of the “For a Better World” platform, which emerged from Rock in Rio and is now a consistent focus within Rock World. The Town pioneered the use of 472,000 reusable cups during the five-day event, avoiding the generation of 10 tons of waste. In partnership with the NGO Gerando Falcões, Gerdau, and the Volkswagen Group Foundation, The Town launched the Favela 3D project, focused on the social development of the Favela do Haiti in São Paulo. Through a scalable and sustainable methodology, 290 families are being impacted by initiatives that promote community strengthening, employability, entrepreneurship, professional training, and individualized support over the course of two years. Upon completing one year, the Favela do Haiti celebrated full employment.
The Town’s first edition had a significant economic impact, generating R$1.9 billion for the city and creating more than 23,400 jobs. With communication that reached 145 million people and sparked 2.21 million conversations on social media, The Town established itself as a fixture on the country’s cultural and economic calendar.
