DENIS STOFF from Drag Me Out

SUNRAY MAGAZINE has the big pleasure to interview to the wonderful Ukranian singer and songwriter Denis Stoff with his Metalcore Band “Drag Me Out” .
Denis was vocalist of the Ukrainian metalcore group Make Me Famous and ex-lead vocalist of the known British Rock Band Asking Alexandria.
Drag Me Out is releasing their long awaited new single “Bullets in my Teeth” this January 21.
Stoff and his band today take their time to be interviewed by us.
Hi Denis thankyou for this interview

SUNRAY: When started your passion for the music?
Denis: As a young individual, I’ve always looked up to big musicians and it fueled the ultimate dream to succeed in the music industry.
Seeing all these sold out shows, life on tour and the crazy energy around every musician on the map just felt right to me and I knew that I really belong there.

SUNRAY: Why have you chosen the “MetalCore” genre?
Denis: Metalcore in my opinion is one of the craziest and best genres in the music industry. It’s really got so much to offer.
The energy that it shares with the crowd is truly unmatched. You should come and see the live show by any of those monsters in that genre, you will see it for yourself that it’s nothing but an absolute mayhem of a gig and just so much fun.
At the end of the day, the love for metalcore just felt natural for me from the very first day I heard it in my headphones. I can safely say that I will forever continue on paving the way and exploring the possibilities for everyone who’s in love with that sound.

SUNRAY: What are your influences?
Denis: Mostly, I draw my influence from my personal life and the way I see and experience the world. I meditate a lot and I’m big on the magic practice. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve reached my own source of enlightenment and I’m always out for more.
Cuz through my songs, that’s how I’m trying to share an important message about the human experience and everything that means so much to me right to my fanbase and the people all around the world.

SUNRAY: Denis you were the vocalist of the famous British Rock Band Asking Alexandria, do you want talk us about that experience?
Denis: I mean, everyone wants to talk to me about that stage of my life and without a doubt it was an important one. It truly felt like the whole world fell in love with me and my music during that era. I will always keep a special place in my heart for those days.
This album was so global and vast, it brought so much on the table and most importantly it saved a lot of lives. With that being said, all of my past dreams and purposes definitely came true and I will always carry the torch for that one.

SUNRAY: Are you the songwriter of Drag Me Out?
Denis: Yes, I totally write a lot of music alongside all the members of Drag Me Out. It all comes natural and I just love the chemistry between myself and the boys. We’re only getting started here, I swear.
We’re getting better and better every time we gather up to write the new tunes and I feel like we’re ready to unleash everything that we’ve explored in the past few years.

SUNRAY: Why did you call the band ” Drag Me Out”?
Denis: The band name stands for everyone who truly needs to be pulled out of the mess that they might be seeing, suffering or sustaining. I’m not gonna lie, I was there, sinking in the pit with all of those people too.
But music and everything that it brought to my life is exactly what saved me on this road and I feel like a lot of people can relate.
Our tunes are here to help everyone to pull through anything that they might be going through so with that being said, I hope that eventually somebody will be able to say that this band truly “Dragged Me Out” of this bullshit.

SUNRAY: The new long awaited new single “Bullets in my Teeth” is releasing this January, Can you talk us about it?
Denis: Yes, absolutely. This track is my call for everyone who’s ever been a part of my musical family to hear me out this time and understand that I’ve always had the best intentions towards everyone who showed me love, support and courage.
I’m screaming at the top of my lungs that everything that happened to me in the past 5 years of my life has been more of a fiction and, if you’ll let me say it, a conspirology against me and my ultimate message to all of my fans.
The music industry is known for pulling a lot of bullshit on loyal, honest and actually the nicest people and this time the truth will prevail. I’ll stand tall for me, my boys and my fanbase. We will never let anyone pervert the truth again.
The Resurrected family will stand tall and shine bright for our legacy and together we’ll show the world that nothing is impossible once again.

SUNRAY: Do you have any upcoming projects?
Denis: Drag Me Out is planning to release a three – part album within the next two years. We’ve put so much work and love into this and I just can’t wait to share it with my crowd. This time we’ve brought everything that they really loved about my past sound and we took it to the next level. I can safely say that this is going to change a lot of people very fast.

SUNRAY: Tell us where we can find you (social network, websites…)
Denis: You can easily find us on all social media platforms. Here are some of them: instagram.com/dragmeoutband , twitter.com/dragmeoutband, facebook.com/dragmeoutband – feel free to subscribe and stay tuned for all the upcoming projects.
SUNRAY MAGAZINE is so grateful with Denis Stoff and Drag Me Out for this interview. We wish them more success to come.
