THE AMITY AFFLICTION IN BUENOS AIRES: CHAOS, EMOTION, AND A METALCORE MASTERCLASS
The Amity Affliction returned to Buenos Aires once again to prove the strong connection they have built with the Argentine crowd over the years. On a cold night at Uniclub, the Australian band delivered an intense and emotional performance filled with the perfect balance of heaviness, melody, and raw energy that turned them into one of modern metalcore’s most beloved acts.
Opening duties were handled by Portland, whose post-hardcore sound helped warm up the venue while the audience kept growing louder song after song.
Once The Amity Affliction hit the stage, “Kickboxer” immediately unleashed chaos in the pit and set the tone for the rest of the night.
Tracks like “Like Love”, “Drag The Lake”, “Pittsburgh”, “All Fucked Up”, and “Death’s Hand” kept the energy at maximum level, while newer material blended naturally into the setlist, showing a band completely confident in its catalog. One of the most emotional moments arrived with “Heaven Sent”, sung back word for word by the entire venue.
Circle pits, walls of death, stage diving, and fans jumping onstage to scream alongside Joel Birch turned Uniclub into a true metalcore battlefield. Despite some minor sound issues caused by overpowering low frequencies, the atmosphere never lost intensity for a single second.
The final stretch of the show hit hard, closing with “Soak Me In Bleach” and leaving the crowd exhausted, sweaty, and fully satisfied.
The Amity Affliction didn’t come to experiment — they came to remind everyone why they remain one of the strongest names in the genre, and Buenos Aires answered like a second home once again.
