Dayseeker & Rain City Drive rocked Buenos Aires Friday Night!
Friday March 14th at the Uniclub
Metalcore and post-hardcore lovers, we loved the news that Dayseeker and Rain City Drive would be touring together!
Opening the night was the Argentinian band MetalCore, All For Love! What a good band! I didn’t know them, and they pleasantly surprised me. Nothing to envy from an international band; these guys have it all!
And it was Rain City Drive‘s turn, starting with Lose My Composure, (a song from their recent album “Things Are Different Now” 2024), What vocal and instrumental quality this band has!
Matt McAndrew has impeccable control over his vocal ranges, moving from low to high notes with complete naturalness.
The moment we were all waiting for happened during the performance of Rain City Drive, where Rory Rodriguez came on stage to sing their hit song “Medicate Me” together, the audience exploded!
Closing their impeccable performance with “Talk to a Friend”, they left us all speechless with the quality the guys have in life!
SETLIST:
Lose My Composure, Over Me, Wish You the Best, Concrete Closure, Neverbloom, Medicate Me (with Rory Rodriguez), Frozen, Blood Runs Cold, Cutting It Close, Talk to a Friend

And the time came for the headliners of the tour to take the stage!, Dayseeker came on with Dreamstate, at which point the fans started singing and jumping!
During the song “Burial Plot” Rory asks the audience to light up with their cell phones, a very nice moment of the night.

Then the band leaves the stage for a moment and Rory begins to play “Midnight Eternal” on the keyboard. Later we had a solo from the great drummer “Zac Mayfield”.

During “Paper Heart” Matt McAndrew appeared on stage again to perform the song with Dayseeker.
Then, we had the pleasure of enjoying Evanescence’s wonderful cover of “My Immortal” with Rory playing an acoustic guitar.
After a short break, the band closed the night with their big hit “Neon Grave”.

I have to give some criticism on my part. As a listener of the band, it was disappointing that they left out one of their biggest hits, “Vultures.” Honestly, I thought the show was wonderful, but it left us wanting more!
We hope they return soon and that next time they perform several songs they left out this time!
SETLIST:
Dreamstate, Crooked Soul, Burial Plot, Homesick, Midnight Eternal, Dark Sun, Without Me, Crying While You’re Dancing, Gates of Ivory, Paper Heart (with Matt McAndrew), Afterglow (Hazel’s Song), My Immortal (Evanescence cover), Sleeptalk
Encore:
Neon Grave
