This Will Destroy You, In Argentina
Traveling with music has its benefits in that many times one uses it to disconnect from everything that hurts them and very few know that feeling of sitting down to listen to that sound that takes them further, instrumental music has that, and what What makes “This Will Destroy You” is exactly that, connecting with yourself and being able to feel that vibration inside your soul and body, letting yourself be carried away by each note.
Reminder and information for fans and not-so-fans of This Will Destroy You, the band had a breakup and took different paths and today the band is still standing thanks to Jeremy who is accompanied by Johnnie McBryde, Nicholas Huft, and Ethan Billips.
Last Thursday January 30th, the place to connect was “Uniclub“ in the Abasto neighborhood. It all started at 9:15 p.m. and a little more to be precise, the curtain opened and without an absolute introduction you could see the band and Jeremy sitting in his chair who was the only one to have a microphone, the band began without further ado and “A three-legged workhorse” began to play, the immensity that is demonstrated on stage without saying a word can be seen in this band.
The setlist was composed of these songs: • A Three-Legged Workhorse
- Villa Del Refugio
- Threads
- Leather Wings
- The Mighty Rio Grande
- They Move on Tracks of Never-Ending Light
- Burial on the Presidio Banks
- The World Is Our _
- Dustism
- New Topia
- Little Smoke
At one point during the night, Jeremy used the only microphone, as he had mentioned before, to thank the audience.
This band can take you to various auditory tunes which make it a journey through all the emotions full of sound environments of reverbs, delays, and distortions.
