Jerry Cantrell’s performance at the sold out Nile Theater in Mesa, AZ (March 1st) was a testament to his enduring talent and deep connection to his musical roots. Jerry Cantrell masterfully blended tracks from his solo work to iconic Alice in Chains hits, offering fans a comprehensive journey through his career.
Opening up the night with ‘Psychotic Break’ which set an intense tone that was dark but beautiful. Jerry Cantrell played a couple Alice in Chains classics like ‘Them Bones’, ‘Man in the Box’ and ‘Rooster’ . That were all delivered with raw energy that we’ve all grown to love.

This was a night To remember with a live debut of ‘Hate to Feel’ marking its first performance since the 1990s that evoked deep emotions among the longtime fans. Cantrell, and Puciato, are a highly touted duo. That recreates the signature Alice in Chains harmonies flawlessly.
The sold out crowd’s enthusiasm was electric, with fans appreciating the blend of solo material and Alice in Chains songs. It’s no doubt that Alice in Chains stamped their place in rock history and, while we all want to hear Jerry play AIC hits, it’s clear that Jerry Cantrell’s solo career is just as defining. One attendee next to me who was holding on tightly to his Jerry Cantrell vinyl leaned over with a big grin, mentioned with infectious glee that the show was heavier on solo material than previous tours. Cantrell’s commitment to his craft was further highlighted by the recent release of a deluxe version of ‘I Want Blood’ to coincide with this tour’s commencement. This latest edition features additional spoken word tracks, each adding a unique dimension to his storytelling. This show was a compelling blend of nostalgia and fresh artistry, underscoring his influential role in the rock world.
